Terms & Conditions

This Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Davidson Cleaning Co (referred to as "the Company") and the customer (referred to as "the Client") for residential cleaning services provided by the Company. This Agreement is applicable to all services provided by the Company within Melbourne, Victoria.

Services Provided:

The Company agrees to provide professional residential cleaning services to the Client as per the agreed schedule and specifications. The scope of services will be determined and agreed upon prior to each cleaning appointment.

Cancellation Policy:

The Client must provide a minimum notice of 24 hours for any changes or cancellations to their scheduled cleaning appointment. Any changes or cancellations made within this 24-hour notice period will result in a fee of up to 50% of the total service cost.

Client Responsibilities:

To ensure an efficient and effective cleaning process, the Client agrees to:

3.1. General Tidy: The Client shall perform a general tidy-up of surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom areas before each scheduled cleaning appointment. This includes clearing countertops, sinks, and tables of personal items, dishes, and clutter.

3.2. Floor Preparation: The Client shall pick up any items or obstacles off the floor, such as toys, clothing, or other objects, to allow for efficient vacuuming and mopping. This ensures that the cleaning professionals can perform their duties safely and thoroughly.

3.3 Temperature Threshold: To ensure a comfortable working environment during hot weather conditions, On days when the temperature reaches or exceeds 25 degrees Celsius, the Company will have access to cooling facilities such as fans or air conditioning units, where available, to maintain a tolerable and safe working environment.

3.4 Hazardous Cleaning: To ensure the health and safety of our staff, our cleaning service has a strict policy against handling bodily fluids, including pet feces. This measure is in place to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment for our team. We kindly ask all clients to ensure that such materials are addressed and removed prior to our team’s arrival. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the cleaning service being postponed or canceled.

3.5 Pet Safety: The company prioritizes the safety and well-being of both our employees and our clients' pets. To ensure a safe working environment and prevent any potential accidents or injuries, we kindly request that all clients secure their pets prior to our arrival. While our cleaning crew is trained to be cautious around pets, we cannot assume liability for any accidents, injuries, or harm caused by an unsecured or aggressive pet. Clients accept full responsibility for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from their pets' behavior during our cleaning services. In cases where a client is unable to secure their pet or the company believes it may be unsafe to progress with the scheduled clean, we are open to rescheduling the cleaning appointment to a more suitable time.

Payment and Pricing:

The Client agrees to pay the agreed-upon price for the services rendered by the Company. Upfront payment is required prior to your scheduled cleaning appointment to confirm your spot. Without payment, we may have to cancel your booking to accommodate other clients. Payment may be made online via paypal, by credit card, or any other mutually agreed-upon method. The Company reserves the right to adjust prices based on the scope of work, size of the property, and additional requested services.

Public Holidays and Victorian School Holidays:

Our company does not provide cleaning services on Public holidays and Victorian school holiday dates, as these are designated times for our employees to enjoy a work/life balance. In exceptional cases, if a client specifically requests a scheduled clean to be conducted on a public holiday or during Victorian school holidays, we may consider providing the service, subject to availability of our employees. Should an exceptional service be provided on a public holiday or during Victorian school holidays, a 20% surcharge will be applied to the total cost of the service. Clients who wish to schedule a clean on a public holiday or during Victorian school holidays must provide advanced notice, ideally at least 7 days prior to the requested date. This will allow us to assess the availability of our workforce and make necessary arrangements.

Liability:

The Company will take reasonable care while providing cleaning services but will not be held responsible for damage to items not properly secured, improperly installed fixtures, pre-existing damages, or any damage resulting from negligence or actions of the Client. The Company is insured and will handle any reported damages in accordance with its insurance policy.

Confidentiality:

The Company respects the privacy and confidentiality of its clients. All personal and contact information provided by the Client will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing the agreed-upon services.

Termination:

Either party may terminate this Agreement with written notice. The Client agrees to provide a minimum notice of 48 hours for termination. In such cases, any outstanding payments for services rendered shall be due immediately.

Governing Law:

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Victoria, Australia.

By engaging in our services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
